We offer an interactive
workshop on "withstanding the lie" for which you may register
individually or you may schedule a workshop for your organization, company,
church, association, club or other group.Like the book, this workshop teaches participants how to protect
themselves from the loss of self-esteem and other mental and emotional harm
they might suffer due to the bigotry of others. It consists six separate
sessions, each approximately two hours long, that can be scheduled according to
the availability and preferences of the participants involved.
Participants who attend
the workshop get the important information they need to know in everyday
language from presenters in person. Participants get the opportunity to ask
questions, make comments, challenge information offered, and practice the
techniques and solutions that are recommended. In addition, they get the
benefit of associating with other workshop participants. They see the reactions
of others and hear what others have to offer on the various issues and subject
matter being considered.
The comprehensive
strategy to protect one’s self from the loss of self-esteem and other mental
and emotional harm caused by bigotry is fully explained in the book Withstanding the Lie. However, the
six-session workshop is the most effective way to introduce this strategy to
others and assist them in implementing the strategy into their lives. The
reading of books or other material on the strategy is very important, but
reading alone does not provide the engagement and interaction that most people
need to fully understand, appreciate, and employ the principles and practices
that are involved.
